I did a stupid thing.. I did not want the ranger hero (where you have the choice between margrid or whispers) so I deleted the quest and assumed I could go back and get it and then get the hero I wanted. I have discovered that I can't do that.. maybe because it's a primary quest? I have even tried redoing the mission at Kodonur Crossroads thinking the quest would be there when I finished but it wasn't. I cannot go on any more missions without that primary.
I just can't believe I have to delete my lev 20 (whom I have spent money on for armour etc) due to a stupid mistake.
Any suggestions?

don't delete, just create a new one or play on with that one.. AFAIK you can unlock all heroes through certain quests later on.

You just have to go back outside where the ranger and master are
(by the shrine). They will still be there and you can select the one
you want.

There won't be anything in your log.... but they will be there.

I can't keep playing on this one unless I find that primary since I can do no more missions.
I have searched all over the bluffs for that shrine.. could you tell me where it is? this gives me hope!!!
My fear is that they only spawn during that quest and I cannot get the quest back

The shrine is just outside the Jahai Bluffs exit of the Command
Post. Just exit and look N N/E. They should be standing there
with the marks over their heads again.

I canceled it the frist time too because I'd already gotten the first
ranger hero and decided to get the other one.

Hepaestus has the location right. As for gaining heroes, at the end of the game, you get to pick up all the heroes you didn't take earlier on. So don't worry too much about who you pick, unless you want to do particular missions.
